The Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Frank Chikuta as Executive Director, effective 1st May, 2021.

Mr Chikuta is a seasoned economist with over 20 years postgraduate experience, most of which was acquired in the Reserve Bank of Malawi where he held various positions before joining ECAMA. He holds a master of economic and social studies degree in international finance obtained from University of Wales, Aberystwyth, in 2006 and a Bachelor of social science degree (economics) obtained from the university of Malawi in 1998. He is an accredited fellow of the Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa (MEFMI) specialising in Public Debt Management.

Mr Chikuta’s experience will go a long way in enhancing the capacity of ECAMA as a centre of excellence in conducting evidence-based research in economics and related fields for policy discourse and advocacy.
