The Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) invites its members and partners to submit working papers for presentation in the ECAMA Webinar Series, a monthly platform designed to keep members and the wider public informed on emerging economic issues. The series provides accessible, expert‑driven discussions on Malawi’s evolving economic landscape. It brings together economists, policymakers, academics, and industry specialists to deepen understanding of current trends, challenges, and reform pathways. The webinars will be held every last Wednesday of the month from 15:30 to 17:00 hours.

Themes

Submissions may cover any topic relevant to Malawi’s economy or broader regional/global dynamics. Priority areas include:

·      Economic policy and development: exploring the latest trends and challenges in economic policy and development, focusing on Malawi’s context.

·      Macroeconomic stability: discussing strategies for achieving and maintaining macroeconomic stability, including fiscal and monetary policies.

·      Sector alanalysis: examining key sectors such as agriculture, industry, and services, and their impact on the overall economy.

·      Global economic trends: analysing global economic trends and their implications for the Malawi economy and the region.

·      Econometric modelling and research methods: sharing knowledge on new techniques, tools, and applied research innovations

Submission guidelines

·       Deadline: Submission of working papers should be done by the 15th of each month to allow for review, scheduling, and publicity.

·       Format: Working papers should be complete drafts with clear methodology, findings, and policy implications.

·       Audience: Presentations should be accessible to a mixed audience of professionals, students, policymakers, and the general public.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
